Mystik River Gallery is delighted to present SIKANDER: The Shape of Balance, opening 10 May 2025.
This exhibition features abstract marble sculptures by Indian artist A. Sikander, whose practice reimagines traditional craftsmanship through a contemporary lens. Carved in black and white marble, his works explore themes of duality—light and shadow, masculine and feminine, permanence and change—drawing from India’s rich multicultural and spiritual heritage.
Sikander’s minimalist forms are deeply symbolic, evoking eternal ideas through modern appeal. His sculptures invite quiet reflection on interconnectedness, spiritual transformation, and the space where opposites meet.
SIKANDER: The Shape of Balance runs until 6 June 2025.
