With its looping form carved in the shape of the number eight, Infinity I by A. Sikander is a meditation on continuity, balance, and the unseen threads that bind existence. Drawing from universal and Eastern spiritual motifs, the sculpture explores the idea of endless flow— the material into the immaterial, and duality into oneness. Its unbroken curve invites the eye to move without beginning or end.
Minimal yet deeply symbolic, Infinity I carries a quiet power. Whether in luminous white marble or the moody depth of black, the form appears to hover between sculpture and symbol—timeless, weightless, almost breathing. Its shape recalls ancient wisdom traditions, yet feels utterly contemporary in its execution. The voids within the form speak as much as the marble itself, becoming portals of possibility and introspection.
Sikander’s use of negative space and restraint is what sets Infinity I apart. Where traditional carvings rely on detail, he lets form alone tell the story. This piece becomes both a visual mantra and a physical pause—a reminder of impermanence, eternal return, and the beauty of what has no edges.
About the Artist - A. Sikander
