About Ganesha
Lord Ganesh is a son of Lord Shiva and his wife, Goddess Parvati. Clearly distinguished by his elephant head, Ganesh is a symbol of perseverance, protection, well-being, health, and prosperity. In India, Lord Ganesh is followed by every religion as a welcoming gesture or an introductory deity to start a new chapter in life (job, new house, wedding, etc.). Symbolically, the rat, which is his vahan or vehicle, is a representation of chaos, while a bloated tummy depicts accepting all inhibitions and negativities. Truly, Lord Ganesh brings joys and unlimited bliss to our lives.
About Lapis Lazuli
Lapis is an ancient and rich spiritual stone. It was used in ancient times by healers, priests, and royalty, for its power, wisdom, and ability to stimulate psychic abilities and inner vision. It represents universal truth, encouraging honesty of the spirit. It is also a stone of friendship, said to bring harmony in relationships. Lapis Lazuli utilises Water Energy, the energy of stillness, quiet strength, and purification. The water element brings power of regeneration and rebirth. Used in a space of contemplation or calm reflection, it quickly reduces stress allowing for peace and serenity. Lapis expands awareness and conscious attunement to the intuitive self, stimulating enlightenment and enhancing dream work. Lapis provides a connection with dream forces that are working to both guide and counsel during altered states.
About Ram Kumar
Ram Kumar is the artist behind some of our most incredible masterpieces here at Mystik River. Ram Kumar’s sculptures are inspired by Indian and Tibetan Gods and Goddesses. Following on from his father Mr. Hanuman and grandfather, both accomplished artists in their time, Ram has continued the family tradition.
Working predominantly with semi-precious stones and high grade crystals, his work focuses on Tibetan Buddha figures and Indian gods as Ganesh, Shiva, Buddha, Laxmi and Tibetan Tara. His sculptures radiate grace and elegance as he mixes his art with some very high grade semi-precious gemstones such as Labradorite, Tiger’s eye, Rose quartz and Clear Quartz Crystal. His ability to refine the natural beauty of crystals and gems in his sculptures is unlike anything you will experience.
Note: With all hand made stone and wood sculptures, there might be some natural erosion with cracks and spots, but that adds to the one of kind pieces that we sell here at Mystik River.
