The endless knot, also called the infinity knot, eternal knot or mystic knot is a symbol of birth, death, and rebirth. An endless cycle that has no beginning or end. This ancient symbol has featured throughout history amongst many cultures. Its precise origins are unknown, yet it’s eastern roots date back to 2500 BC, appearing on clay tablets from the Indus Valley Civilization.

As the cord interweaves within itself, it displays the interconnection of all things, emphasising the concept of karma through cause and effect. The endless knot is a highly significant symbol, considered one of the eight auspicious symbols of Tibetan Buddhism. It represents the offerings made to the Shakyamuni Buddha when he achieved enlightenment.
