This stunning portrayal of Goddess Tara is hand carved by artist Ram Kumar. Delicately crafted in Labradorite gemstone, this piece features the characteristic gold and green flames of labradorite that rise from the lotus on which supports Tara’s posture. Tara is the embodiment of Perfect Wisdom, Compassion, and Mother to all Buddhas. She gracefully extends her right palm downwards with her index finger touching her thumb signifying her generosity. Her left palm is raised in the gesture of discussion, a mudra that communicates the wisdom of the Buddha's teachings. She also places her left foot forward ready and willing to assist in whatever guidance is requested of her. Labradorite gemstone is a powerful protector of the aura and aid in gaining spiritual insight - qualities that strengthen the energetic field of this depiction of Tara.
Labradorite is a celebrated stone, used for centuries by healers and shamans around the world for its powerful protective and healing properties, as well as its ability to heighten intuition and psychic abilities. Labradorite stone is known for its protective abilities as it strengthens one’s aura and guards our bioenergetic field from negative energy. It aids in the process of “inner work” to root out old negative patterns. It is also a gem commonly used for spiritual guidance as it strengthens our sixth sense and intuition.
ABOUT THE ARTIST - Ram Kumar (Rajasthan, India)
Ram Kumar is the artist behind some of our most incredible masterpieces here at Mystik River. Ram Kumar’s sculptures are inspired by Indian and Tibetan Gods and Goddesses. Following on from his father Mr. Hanuman and grandfather, both accomplished artists in their time, Ram has continued the family tradition. Working predominantly with semi-precious stones and high grade crystals, his work focuses on Tibetan Buddha figures and Indian gods such as Ganesh, Shiva, Buddha, Laxmi and Tibetan Tara. His sculptures radiate grace and elegance as he mixes his art with some very high grade semi-precious gemstones such as Labradorite, Tiger’s Eye, Rose Quartz and Clear Quartz Crystal. His ability to refine the natural beauty of crystals and gems in his sculptures is unlike anything you will experience.
Note: With all hand made stone and wood sculptures, there might be some natural erosion with cracks and spots, but that adds to the one of a kind pieces that we sell here at Mystik River.
