Hessonite Garnet is a variety of grossular garnet composed primarily of calcium aluminium silicate. It is recognised for its distinctive cinnamon-like colouring and soft internal glow. With a Mohs hardness of 6.5 to 7.5, Hessonite Garnet is relatively durable and well suited for jewellery. Major sources include Sri Lanka, India, Tanzania, and Brazil. Natural inclusions and tonal variations contribute to the unique beauty of each stone.
