A beautifully carved statue of Gautam Buddha, sitting in meditation posture, elevated on top of a lotus flower. Buddha's right hand is in Abhaya Mudra, known as the gesture of blessing, peace, benevolence and the dispelling of fear. Buddha's left hand is in Dhyana mudra, folded in the lap signifying meditation while holding a bowl.

The lotus flower is an iconic image in Buddhist tradition, symbolising purity, growth and transcendence. In early Buddhist iconography, the lotus flower would also represent abundance and prosperity. Placing the Buddha on top of a lotus flower represents Buddha's spiritual perfection and purity, being the enlightened one.

About Labradorite

Beyond the beautiful form and features of this Buddha head is the mystical nature of the Labradorite gemstone. Labradorite is a celebrated stone, used for centuries by healers and shamans around the world for its powerful protective and healing properties, as well as its ability to heighten intuition and psychic abilities. Labradorite strengthens the aura and guards our bioenergetic field from negative energy. It is also a gem commonly used for spiritual guidance as it strengthens our "sixth sense" and intuition.
