A truly special, one of a kind piece. This stunning portrayal of Goddess Tara is hand carved by Indian artist Ram Kumar. Delicately crafted from the Rainbow Fluorite crystal, this piece features flames of purple and green that rise from the lotus on which supports Tara’s posture. Rainbow Fluorite is known to balance the mind and assist with clarity and higher consciousness. These healing properties strengthen Goddess Tara’s protective nature, enhancing the power of this masterpiece.
She gracefully extends her right palm downwards with her index finger touching her thumb signifying her generosity. Her left palm is raised in the gesture of discussion, a mudra that communicates the wisdom of the Buddha's teachings. She also places her left foot forward ready and willing to assist in whatever guidance is requested of her.
Tara is known to be an overcomer of obstacles. By placing her within your house you can direct her energy towards healing and harmony for you or your family. This exquisite sculpture would enhance any space and bring a heightened level of peace and tranquillity.
ABOUT GODESS TARA
Goddess Tara is the feminine counterpart of the bodhisattva (buddha-to-be). She is the saviour goddess and can be presented in numerous forms. According to popular belief, she came into existence from a tear of Avalokiteshvara, which fell to the ground and formed a lake. Out of its waters rose up a lotus, which, on opening, revealed the goddess. Like Avalokiteshvara, she is a compassionate, succouring deity who helps men “cross to the other shore.” She is the protectress of navigation and earthly travel, as well as of spiritual travel along the path to enlightenment.
