One of a kind statue of Tibetan Buddha head from Burmese teakwood, by artist Tin Myo Oo from Mandalay city, Myanmar. This is a single, one of a kind creations by artist.
Buddha heads sculptures are known to represent the vast wealth of knowledge possessed by Buddha, the awakened one. Artists portray Buddha with his eyes semi-closed, in state of deep contemplation. His elongated ears reflects on Buddha’s wealthy past, as he wore heavy jewellery being a Prince. Elongated parts, is also a common characteristic in Buddhism that symbolises wisdom.
This piece is made from wood, and has a naturally occurred crack on it
PS: With all hand made stone and wood sculptures, there might be some natural erosion with cracks and spots, but that adds to the one of kind pieces that we sell here at Mystik River.
